Edgey Couple’s session on 35mm Film - Wendy & Ben - Brooklyn, NY
I met Wendy & Ben at a wedding I shot for a friend back in 2021. They wore their film cameras as accessories, and I knew immediately- these are my people. Since then, we’ve been admiring each other’s work from afar- they live in Boston and both photograph the indie music scene. When they reached out about doing a couple’s session to celebrate their first dating-anniversary as newlyweds, I was ELATED we could finally collab! They visit Brooklyn often, and crash with their friends who live in Prospect Heights - who also booked me as their wedding photographer in September, thanks to Wendy’s accolades! Let’s just say, they’re great peeps, and I’m lucky to be in community with them.
7 Reasons to Book an Engagement Session
1. Gets you comfortable in front of the camera. 2. You get to know/bond with your photographer IRL. 3. You get more casual photos of the two of you. 4. You can show off your home or your neighborhood in a way you maybe can’t in your wedding photos. 5. More creative freedom, without strict timeline constraints 6. Choose a season that compliments your wedding date. 7. You’ll probably be more likely to want to frame engagement session images around your house.

Block Island Elopement - Taryn & Andrei
I met up with Taryn & Andrei at Mansion beach on Block Island for wedding portraits at golden hour, and some SERIOUS magic happened. These two are just so into each together- the camera ATE THEM UP. And we ended up witnessing the single BEST sunset I’ve ever seen in my life. No joke. Period.
