When the pandemic paused her career as a Broadway actress for an unprecedented 18 months, our creative force and visionary, DeAnne, who was also a 2020 bride, embraced the chance to channel her artistry in a different way.

In 2016, shortly after planning my own wedding (and soon after I discovered how upside down this industry can be!), I decided to turn wedding planning on its head.
Over the last seven years, I've built a space that supports you AND your partner through the planning journey. And approaches you with kindness, acceptance, and collaboration.

I’ve been in the wedding world since 2012, with hundreds of events under my belt. From the moment I entered weddings, I saw them for what they truly are: living, breathing works of art. The storytelling, the collaboration, the emotion woven through every detail - it was everything I loved about theater, just reimagined in black tie. I’ve never looked back.

My approach blends high-touch organization with calm, confident energy. Think: Type A logistics with a creative soul. I’ll guide the process with clarity and intention, keeping things beautifully structured, while still making space for spontaneity, inspiration, and a little fun along the way.

Kirrin Finch is a queer-woman owned conscientious clothing company offering menswear-inspired apparel for women, trans, and non-binary bodies. We design with you in mind so you can feel seen, confident, and show up authentically. When you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good, you can conquer anything! Kirrin Finch was born out of frustration at the lack of gender-defying fashion that fit their personal style-avoiding ill-fitting menswear and frilly womenswear. We knew others felt the same way too. Through innovative design and a dedication to authenticity, we empower customers to embrace their unique identity.

The Tailory New York is an appointment-only, women-owned and operated bespoke clothing company that combines modern fashion design with the heritage art of custom tailoring. We stand firmly in the belief and knowledge thatsuiting is genderless and caters in equal measure to men, women, and non-binary individuals.

Custom suiting either fulfills or subverts societal expectations by communicating a self-determined personal image to the world around us. We wield the power of fashion design to meet the singular needs of each of our clients, particularly those in the LGBTQIA+ community, which sets us apart from other custom clothiers.

Bindle & Keep uses old-fashioned tailoring methods to make suits that are truly androgynous. Their team understands the ways in which most men’s suits fall short when women (and transgender men) try to wear them off the rack. Owners Daniel Friedman and Rae Tutera have turned the daunting experience of buying suits into a source of empowerment for its clients. In that sense, Bindle & Keep is as much a purveyor of confidence as it is of clothes

A queer, disabled designer, he rejects convention in favor of inclusivity, designing for shape and story—not size or norm. His work has been featured in Loveinc and in national publications, praised for its sustainable vision and deeply personal touch. Westbrook’s debut bridal collection (decades in the making), Genesis, uses post-consumer, repurposed materials—everything from discarded plastics to unusual fibers—to transform the overlooked into the unforgettable. Beyond aesthetics, Timothy brings emotional care to fittings and consultations, understanding that choosing what you wear for one of life’s most important days can also be a process of healing. With over a decade of experience across price points from hundreds to tens of thousands, he holds space for every client's story, ensuring that when you walk out, you feel both seen and radiant.perience-rooted in emotion, intention, and love.

I see clothing not just as something to wear, but as a reflection of who we are. With a focus on conscious, refined design and a distinctly personal touch, I create pieces for the modern bride’s entire wedding weekend.

I source fabrics and trims locally and intentionally, reducing waste while maintain a close connection to every step of the process.

For designer Amsale (Ahm-sah’-leh) Aberra, it all started with a single wedding dress: her own. Seeking a more modern silhouette for her 1985 nuptials, Ethiopian native Amsale found her options limited. She eschewed the overly ornate—on-trend in that era—and crafted her own pared-down design, elegant in its simplicity and quiet in its impact, featuring a distinct style that was modern and personal at once. Three decades later, her refined and modern aesthetic endures in a variety of collections - and Amsale herself is widely credited as the inventor of the modern wedding dress.

“We’re a twin sister duo and family owned business creating a a new way for women to enjoy the classic tuxedo. Combining our fathers deep experience in the formal wear industry and a passion for accessible and inclusive fashion, we offer the tuxedo to all.

Our story begins with our fathers extensive experience in crafting traditional formalwear for men.  With his twin daughters they're now focusing to serve the growing market of women and non-binary customers looking for high-quality tuxedos. Too often, we heard customers only had the option to shop at men’s retailers and found themselves stuck with boxy, masculine styles that were not specifically designed for a women's body and shape.

Keeping all female body shapes and sizes in mind we decided to start our family journey together. We named the company Little Black Tux in homage to both the classic “little black dress” and the LGBT community whose needs, styles, and bodies deserve to be recognized and most especially designed in the formal wear industry. Using our fathers expertise, we were able to source fabrics and create designs that were built for women and gender fluid shoppers.”

After working in the male-dominated business for over a decade, Melissa Watson Ellis realized there was a glaring lack of custom suit companies catering equally to women, men and nonbinary individuals. She launched her bespoke NYC atelier to reach that untapped market.

WATSON ELLIS brings all of Melissa's experience to bear on our premium products and how they are fitted to your body. We only use the best fabrics from the best mills in Italy and the UK; and our garments are actually handmade at our family-owned and operated factory in China which is second-to-none in terms of bespoke apparel craftsmanship.
