I have always been the go-to person for weddings and events among my family and friends. In 2004, I decided to combine my passion and expertise for impeccable event planning. Thus, Events by Sheavonne was established.

After years of planning events, I noticed the more that an industry professional was deemed an “expert” with regard to their hard skills, the less they seemed to value the expertise of lived experience, whether that be with their clients, their vendor teams, or even their own teams. “Upscale” became synonymous with “homogenous & exclusive”; there was a clear devaluing of the ways professionals with marginalized identities could bring a unique perspective to their client’s special day. Similarly, I noticed clients with marginalized identities were given cookie-cutter experiences that often missed the opportunity for their day to be as unique as they are.

I founded withMavens Events to shake up the wedding & events industry. I envision a world where event “expertise” goes beyond teachable skills & includes the ways lived experience influences how we approach our craft. No two relationships have the same love story, so why should they receive a one-size-fits-all approach to planning their big day?

Fallon is the Founder + Creative Director of Fallon Carter Events. Named one of the Top Wedding Planners in the World by Harper's Bazaar, Vogue and BRIDES magazine, Fallon connects southern hospitality with international luxury. Her journey began after helping a friend plan her Paris wedding. Fallon fell in love with the organization and logistics of the process and soon went from law school to entrepreneur, launching FCE in New York City in 2012 Finding joy in adventure, travel and al fresco dining, Fallon leaned into destination events and experiences. 

My goal is to make your event cohesive, stress free and designed based on your vision. With a background in the arts I specialize in creating events in the Hudson Valley, Catskills, NYC, NJ, Cape Cod and beyond that are special to each client.  I take the time from our initial first call to onboarding to get to know who you are as an individual. My goal is to make your event cohesive, stress free and designed based on your vision. Dear September Events emerged from a desire to help people find joy and connection in the midst of chaos and uncertainty. When the pandemic paused her career as a Broadway actress for an unprecedented 18 months, our creative force and visionary, DeAnne, who was also a 2020 bride, embraced the chance to channel her artistry in a different way.

In 2016, shortly after planning my own wedding (and soon after I discovered how upside down this industry can be!), I decided to turn wedding planning on its head.

I’ve been in the wedding world since 2012, with hundreds of events under my belt. From the moment I entered weddings, I saw them for what they truly are: living, breathing works of art. The storytelling, the collaboration, the emotion woven through every detail - it was everything I loved about theater, just reimagined in black tie. I’ve never looked back.

My approach blends high-touch organization with calm, confident energy. Think: Type A logistics with a creative soul. I’ll guide the process with clarity and intention, keeping things beautifully structured, while still making space for spontaneity, inspiration, and a little fun along the way.
